Top Referrers for July 2008

I thought I would start doing a monthly top referrers post to say thanks to those that have given me some traffic.  When you write a post that includes a link to my site, you give me the possibility of gaining more traffic.  As a thank you, I'm going to start doing a monthly post identifying these referrers.

Thank you for your support all!

Top Referrers - July 2008

  1. ThreeScorePlusTen - 148 visits!!!  WOW!
  2. Google - 59 visits
  3. StumbleUpon - 38 visits
  4. Plurk - 31 visits
  5. blogger.com - 29 visits
  6. Rose Desrochers - 28 visits
  7. Demeur - 25 visits
  8. Garry Conn - 25 visits
  9. ChaosFreeLiving - 24 visits
  10. Pixelhead Online - 21 visits

In future posts, I'll introduce more aspects, but being that August is almost over and this is my first top referrers post, I want to say thank you now that I thought of doing this.

Gary, do you see that?  You have sent me the most traffic, a huge leap above everyone else!  I want to find some way of thanking you.  Does anyone have any neat ideas that I could implement as a way to say thank you to the top referrer?

    I tracked you down and now I plan to stalk you for as long as you explain blogger. Bwahahahaha, be very afraid.

    Jk, but i do have two questions for you totally unrelated to this post. One, I got a template somewhere that i liked. They hosted stuff on photobucket and the bandwidth exceeded, giving me that oh so lovely error. So I tracked the pics down and uploaded them to my own photobucket. I did NOTHING except change the url. But i have this lovely lil break in my banner on my other site. http://accordingtoness.blogspot.com. Any idea why the url would make such a change? Is there a way to fix it?

    AND i want to add a code to my sidebar that allows people to copy a length of code and it puts my 125 X 125 on their sidebar or whwereever they want to put it. I can't figure out how. Can ya help me there?

    @Nessa - Hi There, thanks for coming by and dropping a line. I see what you are talking about on your accordingtoness site, and I think I may see what the problem is. Let's see if I can explain this correctly...

    The image ungu_01.gif (this is the top image) has a natural height of 53px, whereas the space you are putting the image specifies a height of 63px. Leaving you with a 10px whitespace. Try modifying the following section of your template:

    #gambar2 {
    background:transparent url(i113.photobucket.com/.../ungu_01.gif) no-repeat scroll center top;
    height:63px;
    width:950px;
    }

    Try changing the height to 53px where it says 63px. If you are not comfy mucking with the template, let me know. I'd hate to see anything bad happen to your site because of of some suggestion of mine. Smile

    Also, tried to email you back last night, but emails were getting stuck in my inbox. You may get them later today when I log back on to my system and Outlook decides if it is going to send those emails or not.

    As for the sidebar action, I will draw up a post for that. I need to test a few things before I go rambling out some technical babble. hahaha

    If you can teach my niece Tish how to add links to her blog roll, that would be thanks enough.

    @Demeur - Lol, watch out Nessa, I think it's a pick up line. hahaha jk

    @Gary - I am awaiting a response from her. I have already taken a look at things for her and I only have one question for her that she needs to answer. Thanks Gary!

    I never did a top referrers post. That's some great referral traffic from Gary. How did that happen?

    We will have to get your Google rankings up there.

    @Adam - Well, you gave me the idea with your monthly post, and I happened to be tinkering around in analytics. Gary gets quite a bit of traffic apparently, and he has also referenced me in some flattering posts too, which was quite nice of him to do. I suspect that because his post rate is through the roof, maybe that has something to do with his level of traffic.

    Of course, he's just entertaining as hell and has quite a following I suspect. Aren't ya Gary!

    The Stumble you did shot my traffic up, and it now seems to be generating some upward momentum. I seem to have plateaued the last few months. I'll eventually write a post on these and other stats...just so much to do lately.
