The Internet Tagged Me

Tags!  I need tags...sheesh.  One of the biggest problems I face is giving myself a label, and that's exactly what I need if I want to supply tags with my blog submission.  I thought, if it works, asking everyone else to give me tags would be an interesting experiment.  I haven't heard of any post like that, so hey, what do I have to lose?

Tag Me Please

If you are willing, please give me a comment that contains one word or two words to describe this site, or myself.  Perhaps I'm blurring the line a little since this site is all 'me' already.  Heh heh, I hope I know what I'm doing...  :)

So anyway, if a few words jump out at you, send em my way.  I'm purposefully leaving this post without info on me, I'll let the site speak for itself.  Save for the keywords below.

If I tagged my site and myself

Here are some of the one and two word tags I'm considering.  Feel free to use any one of these if they work for you.

  1. programmer
  2. web developer
  3. web site tips (I know, this is three words, but my spell check says 'website' is misspelled...what to do?)
  4. personal blog
  5. motorcycle
  6. biker
  7. tattoo
  8. tattooed freak (Ok, this one is just a fun one...)

I'm sure if I sit here long enough I'll change this list around so many times, I'll be cross-eyed.  I don't want that, so there they are in all their glory.  The words I would use to describe waynejohn.com and myself.

Bonus Points!  If there are some methods I can use to determine these, like scanning the sites level of keyword usage or other means, let me know.  I'll be actively looking for various methods that are used for these purposes.

Do you use Google Analytics? Check to see what keywords people are using to find your blog.

Yeah, I'm down with google analytics and webmaster tools, and a few others that I will be writing about in the future. I'll be writing on how I use these tools to accomplish various tasks. So I guess one focus will be on how to manage, maintain and promote your web site or blog.

I posted this so I can get an idea of how others view me. Should be quite interesting since this will be floating around for a while.

I often find it odd describing myself because of the reaction halfway in to the description. Top that off with my name Wayne John, people get really confused.

Thanks for the comment, you wouldn't include web site or developer tags in there huh? Your description might just appeal to more more people.

my first thought was a bit humorous, and would suggest a tag like---Max Blogger, whats in a name?? maybe you can envision the comic book ? the line of action figures, etc, etc, just the license to use the name in commercials might make ya a fortune. But then seriously, how about---"Blog Butler", or maybe, "the Great Blogsby"---I'm sorry, can't get down to serious , but actually being new to blogging I think yha need to keep it perky, simple, --how about something like , "Wayne Says"??--- nice tag for any simple friendly advice you care to post.

@Rose - Probably should if I feel it necessary, I get ya!

@Gary - I probably won't use a Wayne Says approach, for two reasons. The first is my friend, a relator here in Southern California, uses a 'Simon Says...' approach in his marketing. I find it a little arrogant personally.

You have some other good ideas in there though, so thanks for speaking up!

I should say, that I find when I try it out to come across as arrogant, not that Simon Says is arrogant. Simon Says is actually playing on old commercials and games from way back.

Oh Simon, if you happen to read this, you know what I mean...
