I can't let this one slide by. Here's my thank you to George W Bush.
President George W Bush,
I wanted to write you a letter to let you know how much I appreciate all you have done for America and its citizens over the past 8 years. While the times have been trying, and where most people would have given up, you have persisted and attempted to calm the fears and concerns of those around you.
From claiming victory before the war was even over, to mangling your speeches, you sure have made the past 8 years quite hilarious. Perhaps a first for a President to be so funny at times, yet still maintain a level of calm, cool calculation.
You've taken it in stride, and we could not have asked for better comedy, but we could have voted for a better President. It's what you call hindsight always being 20/20. I'm sure you know exactly what I mean.
Take care President Bush, and try to not let that door hit you on the way out. Apparently, you should try opening your mind to new ideas instead of being so incredibly closed-minded. One cannot always be right, and you really made a mockery of what a president should be like.
