Recent Changes at WayneJohn.com

I took a little time to modify the Leaves theme today.  I read on another's blog how they are using Technorati to keep a reference to blogs they are interested in.  While I'm not terribly familiar with Technorati, I'll be using it in the coming weeks to learn a bit more about the site and how it might benefit me.

New Stuff

You'll notice a Technorati tag on the left navigation bar now.  Please favorite me if you like what see around here.

Another change is the addition of an Amazon widget.  It will conform itself to the content being displayed much like Google AdSense does.  I got an email from them saying that they haven't seen anything come in from me.  Well, that's because I didn't have anything up on any of my sites yet.  My personal sites move slowly since I need to put my time towards paying clients first.  Small steps every day....small steps.

Lastly, I've updated the footer.  I decided to fashion my footer after some of the B5 Media footers I've seen.  I've always considered the footer area to a thin strip of common data, but their footer proved me quite wrong.  I like the way they've implemented their footers, so I've modeled mine after theirs.

I'm quite pleased with the changes and feel they represent me well.  What do you think...come on, be honest now.

Upcoming Changes

In the coming weeks I'll be doing much more work promoting and signing up with sponsors.  Please subscribe to my feed and keep in touch with me.

Thanks for taking our footer as inspiration! We certainly tried to do something different with ours, and we're glad some folk find it useful!

Thanks for swinging by Jeremy! I've been reading a few of your sites and have been pretty impressed overall with not only the quality of the content, but also the styles implemented. It seems as though some real serious thought was put behind the structure of the blog pages, footer included.

I'm actually taking a few clues from your sites, however the footer is the most prominent by far.

I can program up a storm, but making things pretty is a whole 'nuther ballpark for me.

Check it out mango: Any links must be entered as http://www.somewhere.com with nothing touching it. Anything else will be mangled. This is to help combat spam and to also ensure the masses know of this little tidbit before they click Save comment below. :) I have this down to remind me to do something with it, but I take things slow and easy on the old horse.

Keeps her regular don't ya know, and I wouldn't want to disturb that.
