FTP Clients that allow FTP over SSL

I was just compiling a list of FTP clients that allow for FTPS (FTP over SSL) and thought it would be a good idea to keep this around.  The only thing is, I haven't worked directly with all of these, especially in the context of SSL.  Normally my work is done over standard FTP. 

If you have happened to work with any of these clients, let me know what you think of them.  I'm especially interested in the non-Windows versions of these since I will probably never have a need to extend myself beyond Windows.

Here is what I am looking for.  Feel free to comment on all or any FTP Clients.

1. Does the client actually do FTP over SSL?
2. Would you recommend the client to others?
3. Random thoughts about the client.
4. What version of the client are we speaking about?
