Pink Floyd – More – 1969

Pink Floyd created some great music for the film More. Some timeless classics such as Cymbaline, The Nile Song, which happens to be the only single from the album, as well as Green is the Colour and Cirrus Minor; two of my favorite songs from Pink Floyd.

More was directed by Barbet Schroeder and released in 1969. The movie stars Mimsy Farmer and Klaus Grünberg, a pair that is dealing with heroin addiction on the island of Ibiza.

Around the 80 minute mark, the French film Censorship board had some of the dialog removed or modified due to references to the ingredients of the hallucinogenic mixture they are cooking up in the kitchen. The ingredients were Benzedrine and banana peel.

Most of the film was shot mostly on the island of Ibiza in the Mediterranean, off the coast of Spain.
