Old Dude Strikes Again Meme

July 14, 2008 · 17 comments

Got to love a meme created by an old codger like Gary. He tagged me, so I’m going to tag a few as well.

  1. What is your favorite quotable line from a Movie.
I find your lack of faith disturbing… – Darth Vader (ok, so I’m a geek)
  2. Who is the most famous person you have spoken to?
Willie Nelson, unfortunately I didn’t get to smoke weed with him. Some might call that an extreme sport!
  3. How many bags/boxes of Potato Chips are consumed at your place in a month?
    None, we don’t buy them.
  4. Who is your all time favorite Cartoon Character?
    Marvin the Martian
  5. What foreign food Dish do you prepare from scratch and Serve?
None! I’m not allowed to cook anymore…
  6. What is your favorite section of the Supermarket?
    Meat/Butcher
  7. What was your high school teams mascot and what were the school’s colors?
Chiefs (Indian) – Black and Gold

Needless to say, to play the game , one has to A) answer the above questions in a blog posting, B) Identify the (5) who you are going to tag, and C) acknowledge who TAGGED YOU.—-and ooh yeahhh, have a nice day.

Gary tagged me initially, and I’m gonna tag ScarletVirago, Tiffany, Rose, Pixelhead, NucMEd is Hot.

Have fun!

Thanks for the tag.

Pixelhead

I have not done one in quite a while, so why not Wayne.
I do limit myself to no more than one a month.

Wayne

@Rose – Hey, no problem, that’s what I do sometimes. Get work, distribute work, double it up, we’ll call it a meme.

@Pixelhead – Well right on, I got you this month then. We should all do this one in memorium of Olive (http://www.waynejohn.com/post/2008/07/14/Worlds-oldest-blogger-signs-off-at-age-108.aspx)

Wayne

@All – by the way, I will only do I a month as well. I could see that getting these could get wildly out of hand, and they take a little bit of time to prepare with all the “spreading the love” you need to do.

It’s like Lumbergh popping his head in your office door, “Umm, yeah…I’m gonna need you to come in this weekend…”

One a month, sound’s reasonable to me too. Good idea.

GaryJay

LOL—one a month—-really, you kids are real intellectual pansies—-but hey, your a victim of what passes for education these days, so I DO understand. Thanks for the quick response Wayne—thought it migh trigger ya off on a different tack for new postings although looking forward to the next blogger lesson post.—so just where Were those Chiefs anyway?

Aw Gary, that was harsh, hahahaha. Good one ya old codger.

Santa Fe Springs California. High school by the same name. Was no where near sports though. I was geeking out in the computer room and accounting club. :) Accounting, of all things…snore….

Karen

I like the meme’s. I just run out of people as about ten people read my blog and several of them read the same blogs I do. I ike the once a month concept!

Wayne

I have the same problem(?), once a month seems only reasonable

GaryJay

once a month is more than enough—hell took me almost six weeks to cook up this last one–5 1/2 weeks cogitating if I should or not—and the about three days to actually do it—-but won’t be doing it again for awhile——less I get bored, in which case—but hey thanks for playing the game.

Ahhhhhh nuts

Wayne

@Gary – That’s not a bad way to help drive traffic to your site. If you follow out to Pixelheads site, you’ll see that he is referring right back to your post. Thus, potentially driving more traffic your way. Well played!

Wayne

Keep trying Dana! Just type Dana…

Pixelhead

Hey, you need to edit the link to the oldest blogger you reffered to…the end parenthesis is making it wonky.

Pixelhead

huh, my link is wonky too…need some tweakin does it?

alex

Sorry I’m late to play, Wayne. There is a completely lame explanation on my post, but I did it!

Wayne

@Pixelhead – Thanks for the heads up, I’d have to dig through my database to correct that unfortunatley…perhaps I will just to experience that with this platform…

@Alex – No rush! No need to comply either. However, we have ways of making you talk. lol 2 out of 3 ain’t bad…

Now….for that comment…

Wayne

Should be a matter of time. The cache needs to reset, then all should be well with those links…(crossing fingers…)
