Another month, more money, I like that. This is the first month that I’ll see exactly how eBay’s new QCP algorithm program would work out, and to be honest, I’m not terribly impressed, but I’m not feeling very bad about it either.
The eBay forums are just a flutter with frustration over the program change. People just don’t know what to do to improve their numbers. On top of that, eBay has started to penalize those that get hit with bot attacks.
Imagine, one day you get hit with a bot that goes through your site, clicking links to eBay, sending thousands of hits to various auctions and sales on eBay, and eBay turns around and begins to pay you absolutely nothing for days!
I’ll tell you what, I fear a bot attack if it will make my efforts null…especially when you can’t completely handle the problem. You could filter many of the known bots, but many are created each day, and over time it’s just a constant problem.
I’m not sure what eBay is trying to do by forcing each web site owner to filter for bots when eBay themselves have it within their capacity to do the job more effectively.
Whatever, I’ll just continue to press forward.
So what are the number for this month you might be asking? Well, here they are:
AdSense - $82.35
Ebay - $495.26
LinkListings - $24.00
Client Work - $10.00
DiggityHost.com – $2.03
Chitika – $4.96 (first implementation on October 17th)
That brings the total for October to $618.60, over $100 off from last month, but hey, things are looking up. Not every month is going to see growth over the prior month, unfortunately! And with eBay’s switch to paying affiliates per click, instead of percent of sales, I’m not going to complain.
I’ve added Chitika into the mix, and if you have not heard of them, you might want to find out more about them. Most of my regular visitors will never see a Chitika ad on my site, but every one of the people who perform a search through Google will see the Chitika ads.
Chitika ads only display when a user comes from a search engine. On top of that, Chitika claims that I won’t see any degradation to my AdSense numbers either, and so far they are right. My AdSense numbers, although lower than last month, are still going strong. They are lower than last months AdSense revenue, but there’s a perfectly good explanation for that, and it has everything to do with me playing around with one of my web sites, and nothing to do with adding Chitika into the mix.
If you are getting a good amount of search traffic to your site, I would strongly recommend that you sign up with Chitika. I think you’re leaving money on the table if you aren’t already using their services.
I wish you the best of luck with your money making activities, next year I will start to share more details of what I’m doing. For now, I’m still building the empire.

2I applied for the EPN (Ebay Partner Network), I used a low traffic wordpress site that I havn’t worked on for a while.
It blows that EPN force you to own the domain, & paid hosting. I have a Blogger site that gets a good amount of traffic, & actually brings in the most money (approx. 90%) from Adsense. I was really wanting to add the EPN to that blog, UGH…!
Can you tell me what happens next? I uploaded the the text file to my blog, went to EPN & verified that I own the domain/site, everything looked ok, but that’s as far as I’ve got, do the send another email?
This EPN application process is really crappy (I’m being nice
).
Thanks,

4That’s still good my Russian friend (Климатици), better than nothing right? How long have you been at it? Give yourself $10 more dollars for bad math.
Switcher, yeah there is a bit of a wait up front, I remember the anticipation I built while waiting. I had all the tools ready, but no program approval. I believe I waited a week before I was approved.
If you are able to access the tools they provide, then you’re good to go. I would recommend playing around with the RSS feed they provide as opposed to one of the canned tools. Get yourself some added content that way.

5$82.35 for Adsense is an awful lot of clicks for a month, you must get lots of traffic. If it is not privileged information, how much traffic do you get? If it is private, tell me to mind my own business.

6Not really private, but I don’t go blabbing it either…not yet at least.
On here, I average about 150 to 300 hits per day with pageviews being about 1.75 times that. But, this isn’t the only site I display adsense on either. I have a handful of other sites that also display AdSense.
I average about 40-60 clicks per day across the board.

8Have you tried adding the Google Search from Adsense yet? I was making about what you made per month prior to installing it . My earnings improved more than I thought they would after adding it. I guess that little familiar google search engine logo has some kind of magic.
