I’m considering doing a Weekly Recap each weekend where I go over my emails and task list and give a shout-out to those that have made my week fun and inspiring. What do you think?
This week has me seeing some great returns on my blogging efforts and has inspired me to write a recap of my week. I think I might just make this a habit for each weekend, recapping the week I’ve had. There were so many positive things that happened, I just can’t let them go unnoticed.
New Friends
I’ve made a few friends this past week, fellow bloggers that are either starting out, or have been established. Either way, we’ve made a connection and I thought sending some recognition their way would be a nice gesture to say ‘Hi!’ to them. Here’s a few of them:
- Gary Jay at ThreeScore Plus Ten – What a hoot! This guy has put several smiles on my face. He’s a 71 year ‘old codger’ as he calls himself, and he’s one of the nicest gentlemen I’ve met on the net thus far. He’s just starting out blogging, much like myself. His posts provide a good insight in our seniors point of view on life and general things. I always give respect to my elders, they’ve seen more than us and should have a stronger voice in the world in my opinion.
- Brian and Nick at WhereIStand.com – I joined up with WhereIStand to help me get some things off my chest, such as my own personal opinions on worldly topics. I’ve had some issues (they are still in beta, so that isn’t too surprising) but they both have helped me tremendously. I had some issues working with their site, but they were on top of it! They kept me posted on progress and have attempted to get things worked out. We still have issues we are working on, but I’m not terribly worried. The site is excellent and a great idea. I highly recommend signing up and participating in a few worldly issues. I believe each and everyone on this post I have met through WhereIStand.com.
- Feenx at Indigo Insight – Feenx and I have been quite chatty about this and that. His blog is just starting out, but has really caught my attention due to the topic. He opens himself up to those looking for information on spiritual, emotional and mental matters. The posts he writes are very intriguing and thoughtful. I’m looking forward to digging into what he means by an ‘Indigo child‘ shortly, and the few paragraphs I have read so far tells me I’m going to enjoy it.
- Jean-Charles at ComBoost.com – Here’s one busy and talented individual. ComBoost is the sole venture of Jean-Charles and provides 100% free photo sharing tools, the ability to organize your photos into albums. In turn you can take the photos and albums you build then place them on your blog and in blog posts. There is so much more to the tools that I fear I’m not doing the site complete justice. I’ve used one of the tools provided by ComBoost on my Big Bear Choppers 2008 post to display some of the pictures of the ride on my blog. You should check it out as a great alternative to some of the other photo sharing sites out there.
- Lee at Trimagination – Lee and I have exchanged some opinions on WhereIStand as well as on each others sites. Our comments back and forth have been about each others sites and he’s given me some ideas to use on my blog here. Here’s a shout out to Lee! Looking forward to your web site launch!
- John Sullivan at PotPolitics – I’ve just recently found this blog from a 42 years, self-proclaimed slacker out in San Antonio Texas. The posts are unique and interesting reads covering topics such as blogging, hacks, and ranking from a perspective quite unlike any I’ve seen thus far. Sup dude!
Last, but not least!
One final thought before I begin cleaning up my emails a bit, I had drinks last night with my co-workers at Prudential at a new place called ‘The District’, located on the old Tustin army base in, well…Tustin. I had a lot of fun and only a few drinks, but the conversation was just flowing.
We had a lot of good times when we worked together, and I find it amazing that I’ve found a group of people that I’ve hooked up with several years after working together. You guys know I blog now, so let me know your alive by leaving a comment!
Cheers to everyone I’ve listed here and may the coming months be productive, lucrative and satisfying for each and every one of you!!!
