Just a quickie this time, here’s a list of my favorite 15 actors of all time. You might have some opinions on my selections, so feel free to use the comments to let me know I’m crazy for choosing this one, or what about that one…
These are in no particular order, but I will say that Tim Curry is perhaps my absolute favorite. Actually, perhaps Tim Curry battles for that position with Christopher Walken…anyway.
- James Earl Jones
- Harrison Ford
- Sir Ian McKellen
- Tim Curry
- Sir Patrick Stewart
- John Cleese
- Eric Idle
- Jack Nicholson
- Johnny Depp
- Morgan Freeman
- Anthony Hopkins
- Clint Eastwood
- Kevin Spacey
- Gary Oldman
- Christopher Walken

Glad Morgan Freeman made the list! What an amazing actor.
Nicholson is one of the best and Eastwood is a great director. I see you like the Monty Python bunch

I’d add Phillip Seymour Hoffman to the list

Phillip Seymour Hoffman…hmm..I know that name but will have to Google it.
Nice looking site, seems somehow different than other blogs in design…perhaps that is because the theme is unique, one of a kind?
I should hope Christopher Walken isn’t number 15…who would bring the cowbell!
says:
lol, nope. He’s a bit higher than that for sure
Like your list, I would add Robert de Niro, Daniel Day-Lewis, George Clooney, Jim Broadbent, Robert Duvall, so many more. Not sure who I would take out of your list to replace with my names?

I could have gone on and on right? I have a few other posts like this that are just sitting around waiting for me to think of more people.
I would add Daniel Day-Lewis after watching Gangs of New York. If I had to remove one person though, it would be Eric Idle. I didn’t add him so much for his “acting” as I did for his comedy. If Eric Idle is in the picture, I’m watching it because I know I’ll get a good laugh from him. Always have.
That’s a good list Wayne, I have a few I would add, but I wouldn’t know who to take away from your list.
Robert de Niro; Jeff Bridges; George Clooney; Daniel Day Lewis; Jim Broadbent; Robert Duvall

Daniel Day-Lewis? He’d be on my list without hesitation. I’ve loved Johnny Depp since I was 11. Needless to say that acting wasn’t the first attraction. Have Christopher Walken dance, and you’ll see me get out of my chair.
It’s a good list Wayne. But are they all above a certain age? No one younger has impressed you with their acting chops?
Leonardo DiCaprio? Sam Rockwell?

None that I can think of….I’ve always been one to hang around the older crowd, preferring their wisdom over the idiocy of the crowd my own age or younger. Perhaps that’s translated here too?
says:
Actually, I was thinking the other way – none of them, as far as I know, are deceased. No Gregory Peck or Gary Cooper or John Wayne or James Dean on your list.
Roger Green´s last blog ..F is for February
says:
The reason for that is due to my lack of knowledge on their works. Even John Wayne…I don’t think I’ve watched a single movie of his!
I know, the irony…lol
That’s funny you mentioned John Cleese!
I was looking at his house that is for sale, earlier today.
